Job Description:
The Emotional Brain Institute (EBI) is a multidisciplinary institute addressing the neurobiology of emotion.
We seek to hire a full-time temporary technical assistant to perform behavioral work with mice.
This may involve some weekend work.
This position is for 3 Months with a possible extension.
JOB DUTIES:
The Research Support Assistant will help with behavioral research, and animal care and assist in gathering data for experiments following laboratory protocols.

Required Skills and
Experience:
Batchelor's Degree.
This job requires working with mice, and you must respect and enjoy working with animals.
The position may require some weekends.
The job requires the timely and accurate collection of data while assisting a postdoctoral fellow.
High motivation to improve and learn, while making a solid contribution to the lab.
Must be a hard worker that is an active learner that will progress quickly to become a dependable lab team member.
It is important that you have good interpersonal skills and support the team, mature, independent, great problem-solving ability, persistence, excellent organizational skills, good attention to detail, quick learner, ability to work efficiently and excellent time management skills.
Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:
Prospective appointees will be:
1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment.
2) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR).
Prospective employees whose names are indicated on the SCR may be barred from appointment.
