Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
Investigate shipment discrepancies when items being shipped don't match those listed on the shipping documents.
Inspecting physical inventory to determine whether the items are damaged or expired.
Performing cycle audits to ensure that the company is accurately recording inventory costs in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Review aging inventory and drive process changes to minimize it's impact Consulting with management to ensure that they are aware of any problems encountered during audits and investigations Compiling reports of findings and suggesting solutions to any problems encountered during the audit.
Oversee and initiate claims with carriers and vendors when related to inventory Requirements 1.
Education:
Minimum of a BA in accounting preferred 2.
Experience:
Proven experience as an inventory auditor, manager or in a related role.
Preferably 5
years of experience 3.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational skills 5.
Ability to perform basic math with satisfactory accuracy Job Type:
