Building Services Clerk

POSITION PURPOSE
The Building Services Clerk assists the Assoc. Director, Building Services, and the Building Services department with various clerical and administrative duties. Duties include, but are not limited to: performing mailroom services and package deliveries, photocopying,
filing, assist with work order management; assist with tracking time of hourly associates; track purchase orders and payments and maintain building services supplies
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
a. Provide administrative and clerical assistance to staff
b. Track and follow up on Building Services work orders. Generate daily, weekly, monthly reports
c. Coordinate reception and delivery of postal mail and express packages.
a. Collect and distribute interoffice mail - distribute to local Nice-Pak/PDI properties in Rockland and Bergen counties using company owned vehicle.
b. Collect and distribute packages to local PDI buildings
d. Track and follow purchase orders and payments
e. Order supplies for building maintenance, porter, postal and break rooms. Ensure adequate inventory is maintained.
f. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
? College degree preferred
? Must have valid driver?s license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2-3 years? experience in clerical and administrative role
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
? Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
? Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
? Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data
? Attentive to detail, precision, accuracy and completeness
? Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers, computers, fax machines and printers
? Familiarity with mailroom equipment and shipping software a plus
? Experience with invoice management and CMMS software a plus
? Ability to maintain confidential information, as related to position
? Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
? Ability to lift and transport mail bundles and package

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
