The Addictions Counselor 2 will serve in the primary role of Admissions Coordinator. Responsibilities for the counselor in this position include, but are not limited to the following:
o Supervision of counselors/interns/hourlies; o Crisis intervention; o Oversight of the daily admissions operation, which includes, but is not limited to:
intake, screenings, searches, patient inventory, orientations and monitoring the flow of the daily number of admissions/discharges; initial entry of LOCADTRs, insurance authorizations, continuing stay reviews, insurance appeals o Assist with re-authorizations and work closely with the Resources & Reimbursement Agent o Assist with program coverage (groups, daily walks, lectures, individuals) as needed; o Quality and performance improvement activities; o Assisting in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment; o Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary Range:
From $59630 to $75006 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list OR eligible for transfer. To be added to the Civil Service eligible list for this title, you must submit a NYS Civil Service Examination Application (NYSApp) and a copy of your credential(s). The NYSApp will be reviewed for eligibility and scored based on education and experience provided. Minimum qualifications require possession of a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification in addition to the equivalent of one year of full-time professional post-CASAC addictions counseling experience. NOTE:
Applicants must possess and maintain current registration as a CASAC in New York State. Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment. Mandatory overtime (MOT) is a requirement of this position. Chosen candidate(s) will be added to the mandatory overtime roster, which is utilized on a rotating basis. The MOT is applied during times of emergency, when all other staffing options have been exhausted (volunteers, hourly staff, contracted staff). Our Addiction Treatment Centers (ATCs) operate 24/7/365 programing. Therefore, MOT IS an essential function of this position and is critical to maintaining adequate staffing at all times in order to ensure the health and safety of clients within the facility.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
